I haven’t posted on here for almost a year, but that doesn’t mean I haven’t been busy.

Comic Reviews for 7/25/12
August 4, 2012Since I put out two weeks of comic reviews last time, and won’t be getting any this week because of my own personal circumstances, I decided not to rush getting the last week of July’s thoughts online. As for the end of the month, I still argue with myself on staying on a title or not, some titles take an odd turn, and Deadpool continues to be one of the best.

Comic Reviews for 7/11/12 & 7/18/12
July 31, 2012It’s been a few weeks since I did this, but now I’ve got some reviews written, and instead of doing the two late weeks separately, I’ve done them together. After all, lots of good stuff came out, and I read through the two weeks very quickly once they arrived. During that time, my two favorite series had new issues, many stories concluded, and Tribbles arrived on the scene in the new Star Trek universe!

18 Days Later
July 27, 2012It’s been 18 days since my last post, so I best let everyone know what’s going on.
Why no comic reviews? Two weeks ago, the guy who sends me my comics went on vacation but I didn’t know that. I finally decided to call and ask the store what was going on, and that’s when I found out what was going on there. I was told a mass email was sent out, but I guess I didn’t get it or I deleted it without knowing (I doubt the latter, however.)
How about writing? It’s been over a week since I last wrote anything, and the last time I wrote, I only wrote 488 words, which includes “describe…”, “review…from previous book”, and so on. I’ve mainly done that to get the story going to get me excited, but I haven’t been getting any further. With work leaving me exhausted and unmotivated, and trying to get everything packed up and moved, I just haven’t even tried to write anything down. And on top of it all, one of my small notebooks of ideas went through the wash, so I’ve lost a few things there.
Once I get my comics tomorrow (I’m told I will but I have my doubts since I’ve still not heard from the guy who sends them out), and I’ve successfully moved into my new place, maybe I’ll get back to doing what I’d like to do than what I must do.
Comic Reviews for 7/4/12
July 9, 2012More exciting stories came out last week, and I must say Earth 2 is quickly becoming one of my favorite comics. Also out last week, more great Bat adventures, the Punisher fails at disguises, and Danger Club continues to amaze.

Two Nights In a Row!
July 8, 2012The last two nights have been a bit of a milestone. I started working again to pay for my comics (you see that each week
), and the biggest obstacle I faced then was where I’d fit writing into my schedule. Of course, there’s the days off, but for me, writing may be something I’d really like to do, but it’s still considered work to me, and it drains me of energy as much as my other jobs have done.
Anyway, the last two nights, I’ve gotten off work and come home to pop in a movie. As I watched them, I left my book 3 manuscript file open in order to remind myself to write. Two nights ago, I finished chapter 1, although I still have some descriptions to go back and do since that will require me reviewing passages from books 1 and 2.
Last night, I started chapter 2, which was a struggle to get a start on two days ago when I began thinking about it. The solution, however, was already written in the outline–the one place I didn’t think I’d find the answer. I already had the chapter written out in some detail, including how to start, what happens next, and so on. I must thank my past self for having this foresight
I get off earlier tomorrow, and I’ll try to get more writing done with chapter 2, mainly dialogue, before spending upcoming days off going back to fill in the descriptions and details of characters, buildings, and places. Hopefully I’m able to make this trend continue, so I’ll knock on wood as I type that it will continue.
Comic Reviews for 6/27/12
July 6, 2012I’m a little late at getting this up, but circumstances kept me busy with other things. The final week of the month had some promising starts to upcoming storylines. Last week we saw what the Van Helsings are, what Tony Stark’s plan was, and the return of Gregg Hurwitz to Batman.
